Enchanting is different in a way that it can only fill up one slot, but the player can directly choose which one to have instead of rolling from a pool of possibilities, like in crafting. Empowering changes the energy cap your items give, which is used to add more bonuses to your skills. Corrosion can increase the tier of modifiers on an item but can break it entirely as well, so must be used with care.
