The new mechanic is called Astral Mirage, which can be entered after selecting a wish. Mirages are distorted copies of maps, and your wish modifies them with different features, including empowered league mechanics, and completing the Mirage rewards you.
In this league, you can also restore artifacts, empower your gems, and face a new pinnacle boss, Saresh.
