EA FC 25

Every single month we get a brand-new player of the month player. These are from the several major leagues, the likes of the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1. This award is voted for the best player in the league, part by the community and part by analysts. Then in FC 25 we of course then receive that SBC coming out.

The POTM SBC Card will have higher rated stats compared to the player’s original card. Depending on the player, the SBC can vary in price and squad requirements. Usually, you will need some high rated squads for the likes of maybe 84 or 85 rated teams and some even up to 88 required teams.

Recent POTM Cards & Requirements

These then can have other squad challenges where you need to link players from the same club or nation as that player of the month nominee or just players from the same league. And in some cases, you will need team of the week player cards. We've recently had some pretty popular player of the month SBC's come out, the likes of Harry Kane (Bayern Munich) from the Bundesliga. We had Cole Palmer (Chelsea) from the Prem, Lamin Yamal (Barcelona) from La Liga and many more.

Of course, once you do this SBC you'll get that player of the month, but this card will be untradable, so make sure you really do want that player before you complete the SPC. In terms of doing these effectively, it's good to buy your fodder so you're 83, 84 and so on players while the market is down. A great time to buy players are when new promos are released due to the number of packs opened and players listed onto the market. Also, take advantage of using your untradable cards in your club and especially check in your SBC storage for players to use towards this. 

POTM Card Value

Overall, I feel like the player of the month SBCS are pretty fun and especially if you have a team based around a certain league, it's very nice to slot that player into your club. Its important to check how much the SBC will cost in total so you can determine the value of the POTM.

In some cases, the POTM card only has minor upgrades compared to the gold card or if the player has an TOTW card. For those instances sometimes it’s better to simply purchase that card on the market which comes with the benefit that the card is tradeable so you can sell it further down the line. 

Investing Options

There are also opportunities to make investments before the POTM card is released to earn coins. You can look to pick up high rated fodder 86-89 rated players, TOTW cards, and if you have an idea or a leak of who the player will be, pick up players from the same club or nation. After doing so you can either complete the player of the month challenge cheap or simply sell your investments for a nice profit when the squad builder challenge is released.
