We’re getting closer to the next big entry in EA Sports FC, and while EA FC 25 is still active, leaks have already started rolling in about EA FC 26 — including when we’ll get to play it.

According to a reliable source in the FIFA community, @FutSheriff on Twitter/X, the Ultimate Edition of EA FC 26 is set to release on September 19, 2025, with the Standard Edition following on September 26, 2025.

That means we’re looking at the usual late September rollout, which lines up with EA’s typical yearly schedule. Despite earlier rumors suggesting an August launch — possibly to avoid overlapping with GTA 6 — it looks like EA isn’t shifting anything after all. And with Rockstar moving GTA 6 to May 2026, there's no pressure for EA to change its routine.

What to Expect from the Ultimate Edition

If you’re planning to get early access, the Ultimate Edition will once again offer seven days of early play. It’s likely to include similar bonuses to FC 25, like:

• A batch of FC Points for Ultimate Team
• A guaranteed special item (possibly a Hero again)
• Cosmetic extras or special cards at launch

No official details yet, but EA tends to stick to this formula, so fans can expect more of the same — just updated for the new season.

While EA hasn’t confirmed the release dates yet, their official reveal is expected sometime in July, just like in previous years. Until then, treat all leaks with caution, but if the past few years are anything to go by, these dates are probably on the money.

So, for now: September 19 if you go Ultimate, September 26 if you stick with Standard. Same timing, new season, new grind.
