With the FIFA Team of the Year (TOTY) all but a memory, EA have opened a new can of worms, teasing a new promo event on their social media profiles. Off the back of a successful promo event in the most recent TOTY, EA have published two cryptic images on their social profiles sending FIFA fans into jubilation. However, what could these photos mean?
Future Stars
Three cards have been released so far without mention of the individual stats. These players include Phil Foden of Manchester City, Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid and Matthijs de Ligt of Ajax. All of which have had a dramatic increase on their original rating hinting that the rest of the players released will follow similar suit.
At present, the three cards have matched their potential rating in FIFA 19 career mode. So in anticipation for the promo event, it may be worth taking a look at more players with a high potential. These players may be featured in the promo event.
More names are set to be announced on the 17th of January with the full team being released this Friday.
Community Speculation
With the amount of mysteria surrounding this new promo event, the community have understandably had some ideas about what is on the way this Friday.
With the players released, some FIFA fans have started to guess at the upcoming players. Some names including Jadon Sancho of Dortmund, PSV's Hiring Lozano, Everton's Ademola Lookman and Arsenal's Matteo Guendouzi.
One Twitter user in particular (@YeffDesigns) has taken the speculation to the next level however, producing one of the most creative pieces we've ever seen.
This player growth concept would be one of the most innovative things that EA could do. It's completely different to anything we've seen in FIFA before and for that reason, it has to come to FIFA.
