Blizzard recently shared what’s next for Diablo IV, and it looks like players will have plenty to do this year and next. They dropped a roadmap that shows upcoming seasons and features and even gave a small peek into 2026 content.
The next season, called Belial’s Return, kicks off on April 29 and runs through July. Players can expect new quests, seasonal powers, and a fresh crossover event. Blizzard didn’t say what franchise it’s crossing over with, but it should add something fun. Around this time, the game will also celebrate its second anniversary.
Once summer hits, Sins of the Horadrim takes over. This season will run from July to September. It brings new dungeon updates, more seasonal content, and even a Diablo IV pet players can earn. One nice surprise: console players will finally get mouse and keyboard support. That’s something fans have been asking for since launch.
After that, Infernal Chaos lands in the fall and continues through December. It will focus more on the horde-style gameplay. Players can expect big waves of enemies and lots of action. There’s also another crossover planned for this season, but again, no details just yet.
Looking further ahead, Blizzard confirmed that a brand-new expansion is planned for 2026. It will be the second major expansion after Vessel of Hatred. They’re also adding a ranking system and seasonal ladders to bring more competition into the game.
There was one part of the roadmap marked only with the word “new,” but it was partly burned and hard to read. Blizzard didn’t explain it, but it likely means more surprises are coming that they’re not ready to talk about yet.
Overall, the message is clear: Diablo IV is important for Blizzard, and they maintain it frequently. Each season adds more ways to play; it doesn’t matter if you're into dungeons, storylines, or competitive challenges. Blizzard is also responding to feedback. Some players felt the game was too easy in places, so the team says they’re working on making the game tougher and more rewarding.
If you’ve taken a break from Diablo IV, now might be a good time to jump back in. And if you’ve never played, the upcoming seasons could be a great way to start. New content is coming fast, and it doesn’t look like the action in Sanctuary will slow down anytime soon.
