World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic Launches July 21

2025.07.20

Blizzard is officially bringing Mists of Pandaria to WoW Classic on July 21, and honestly, a lot of us are waiting for this release (again). Anyone who's been following Classic's timeline probably saw this one from a mile away. After Cataclysm, what else would be next? Of course it's Pandaria.

Blizzard has even put together one of their classic landing pages to remind everyone of what's in store. If it's been a while since you last stepped foot in Jade Forest, it is time to do it again. Challenge Modes, Scenarios, Tillers farming, pet battles, a ton of dungeons, raids, and an entire continent of quests and hidden secrets are all back on the menu.

It is Worth Returning

Some players might be feeling a little burnt out after the Mists of Pandaria Remix event from last year, which is totally understandable. But Classic is a different beast. This is the proper, slow-paced, progression-based Pandaria from 2012, not the streamlined remix version with endless loot piñatas. If you've been itching to relive the expansion's golden days, this is your chance.

And let's not pretend like Mists of Pandaria doesn't deserve a proper return. It's got some of the best-designed zones in the game, an aesthetic that still stands out even years later, and gameplay systems that laid the groundwork for a lot of what modern WoW still leans on today. Plus, rolling an Undead Rogue through Pandaria just hits differently in Classic.

Don't Miss the Mount

Blizzard is also dangling a little carrot for anyone on the fence. If you finish the starting experience before July 30, you'll unlock a wind serpent mount for the live version of WoW. Even if you don't care much about Classic, it's hard to say no to another mount. Especially when it looks this cool.

Ready or Not, Here Comes Pandaria

So here we are. It does not matter if you're coming back for the lore, the raids, or just to pick carrots on your farm again; Mists of Pandaria Classic is coming. If you skipped it the first time, this is a good opportunity to finally see why so many players ended up falling in love with it. And if you're a veteran, you probably don't need much convincing. Your guild's probably already planning the first night's dungeon runs.

It all kicks off July 21. Time to dust off your gliders and get ready for some pandaren wisdom, farm plots, and Challenge Mode gold runs all over again.
