With the release of FIFA 26, the hype and anticipation begins to grow as we get a closer interaction to of the new game. The fact that EA Sports holds the official licensing to the Champions League has a lot of FC fans excited to see how it will continue to be used.

What does this mean for FIFA 26?

EA has the official UEFA licenses for the Champions League, Europa League, Conference League and Super Cup, as well as the UEFA Women’s Champions League. This partnership has been in place since FIFA 19, and in FIFA 26 it will once again allow for full authenticity across the game.

What does this mean for FIFA players? It ensures that EA can keep delivering an authentic experience with all of these prestigious cups featured throughout different modes. Before FIFA 19, the absence of the UEFA competitions meant less immersion, but now they are fully integrated.

How will this look in FC26?

According to EA’s developers, authenticity remains a core focus. The Champions League and other UEFA competitions are built into multiple areas of the game. In Career Mode, clubs and players can compete in fully licensed tournaments. In FIFA 26 Ultimate Team, UEFA competitions are celebrated through special content and events. For players who simply want to dive into European nights, standalone tournament modes also make it easy to experience the Champions League directly.

Community expectations

Based on feedback, it’s clear the community enjoys the authentic UEFA integration, but many also want to see new FUT game modes inspired by international tournaments, similar to the past World Cup content. Whether or not these requests will be met, FC 26 is expected to continue building on UEFA competitions as a major highlight.
