FIFA 26 is nearly here, and the buzz is building fast. With the full release just weeks away, select players are already gaining early access through the closed beta. If you're hoping to be one of them, now's the time to get your EA account in shape.
While there's no guaranteed way to secure a beta code, plenty of players have figured out a pattern over the years. The key is to make sure your EA profile is set up in a way that tells EA you're not just interested.
Here's how to increase your chances.
1. Tell EA You Want to Hear From Them
Go to your EA Account Settings and find the section for communication preferences. Turn on email updates for promotions, game news, and events. Then, double-check your email address. A lot of players miss out on beta invites just because the email is outdated or incorrectly typed.
Make sure the frequency is set to “any time” so you're not limited by weekly or monthly options. EA needs a reason to reach out, and this setting gives them one.
2. Mark Football as Your Thing
On your EA profile, there's a place to list your favorite games. This step might seem small, but it can make a big difference. Add every EA football title you can: FUT 24, FUT Mobile, FIFA 23, and so on. You can also include categories like EA Play and EA Originals, but make sure football is front and center.
You're showing EA what kind of games you care about. If you leave your profile blank, they have no reason to prioritize you.
3. Select Your Platforms
Head into your account details and choose the platforms you play on. The more you select, the more flexible EA can be in choosing beta testers. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC, and even the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 have all been mentioned in backend data as supported for the beta.
If you don't have a platform listed, EA might assume you're not eligible. So make sure yours is there.
4. Link and Verify Everything
A lot of beta codes go to waste every year because players never linked their EA account to their console. Go to the connections section and make sure your PlayStation, Xbox, or other system is properly connected.
While you're there, verify your email address. An unverified account is more likely to be ignored.
5. Sign Up for Playtesting
EA has an official Playtesting Program where they invite players to try early builds of upcoming games. Being active there has helped some players get early access to past betas. You won't be guaranteed a code, but it's another flag that shows EA you're engaged.
6. Competitive Players Often Get Fast-Tracked
If you've competed in FIFA Pro or earned verified status in online modes, there's a good chance you're already on EA's radar. Keep an eye on your inbox—those invites tend to arrive earlier than public waves.
When Will Beta Codes Arrive?
Reports point to beta invitations going out in early August, with the playtest expected to run from around August 8 to August 26. That gives you a limited window to set everything up and check your inbox daily. Watch your spam folder, too—some invitations end up buried in junk mail.
Even if you don't get picked in the first wave, all is not lost. EA often sends out more codes once the beta is underway, especially if they want to test different regions or platforms.
FIFA 26 Launch Details
The full version of FIFA 26 hits shelves worldwide on September 26, 2025. It's coming to a wide list of platforms: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and even Amazon Luna. That means more people than ever can get involved, which also makes now the perfect time to try and sneak into the beta.
If you're serious about getting early access, go check your EA account now. A few small changes could be the difference between sitting on the sidelines and stepping onto the pitch weeks before launch.
See you on the virtual field.
