When Can You Preload Path of Exile 2?

Preloading for Path of Exile 2 will be available before the Early Access release date, allowing players to download the game in advance and minimize downtime at launch. This means you can start exploring the vast world of Wraeclast as soon as Poe 2 servers go live.

Here are the official preload times for the standalone client:

PST: Thursday, December 5 at 5 PM

EST: Thursday, December 5 at 8 PM

GMT: Friday, December 6 at 1 AM

CEST: Friday, December 6 at 2 AM

AEDT: Friday, December 6 at 12 PM

How to Preload Path of Exile 2

Preloading is only available for the standalone launcher, so you can’t download through third-party providers. You can download the standalone client directly from the official Path of Exile website at the times listed above.

Important Notes About PoE 2 preload:

Third-Party Launchers: You cannot preload the game via Steam or Epic Games. Only the standalone client supports preloading at this time.
Download Size: While the full game will be available for preload, there may be a small patch required on launch day. However, this patch will be significantly smaller than the full game download, ensuring a quicker setup.
Preloading on Consoles

If you’re planning to play Path of Exile 2 on console, here’s what you need to know:

Xbox: Preloading is already available for Xbox players. Simply visit your console’s store to download the game in advance.

PlayStation 5: Preloading for PS5 will be available 24 hours before Early Access begins. Players who purchase a Founder’s Pack will gain access to preloading at that time.
