Path of Exile 2 is just around the corner and as we are getting ready for the lauch, we take a look at a few more adjustments that are now different, compared to Path of Exile 1. In our previous article we went through Path of Exile 2's skill, socket, flask and boss system, we are now looking into classes, movement and specializations.
Classes and Ascendancies
In Path of Exile 2, we will be able to choose from 12 Classes with 36 Ascendancies. The classes that will see in Path of Exile 2 are the following: Druid, Duelist, Huntress, Marauder, Mercenary, Monk, Ranger, Shadow, Sorceress, Templar, Warrior and Witch.
All of these classes will have 3 Ascendancy classes, making them even more unique. This replayability is outstanding in today's games, providing tons of choices to fit for your playstyle. You can now play the classic fire and cold Sorceress builds, shapeshifting Druids, massively armored Warriors, cunning Duelists and Templars using holy magic. These class additions will provide so wide range of options, we are sure the content creators, character builders and theorycrafters will not have much rest between the frequent balance patches.
Dual Specializations
One of the other major changes is that you can now specialize your skill tree to two paths. It is a very important change as you can now specialize your character to two different directions and switch between them, depending the content your are looking to clear. This is a huge change as you no longer have to settle with one build which would require a day of tuning to finally come out to be the worse choice. In Path of Exile 2 you can experiment with other builds, while keeping your "good one".
In our previous article we wrote about changes to skill gems which are now bound to weapon types. In addition to dual specs, we are also getting separate weapon sets which makes our main spell changable. These weapon sets can be switched with just a button press and a different set of skills will show up, being usable immediately.
Movement
Another big addition in Path of Exile 2 is the change in character movement. While you can still use your mouse to move around, you can now also use your WASD buttons. While this change doesn't seem that big of a quality of life change, it can be extremely useful if you are playing a ranged or caster character as you can slowly backpedal away from danger, making you take less hits and having you to land additional spells before you have to worry about your health. If that is not enough, a dodge-roll system is now also on the table!
These upcoming Path of Exile 2 changes are definitely change the pace of the game and the diversity of your characters. While you experiment with different Path of Exile 2 character builds you might need to buy Path of Exile 2 currency to further speed up your character tweaking. These items will be available in our shop as soon as the game launches, so make sure to check back!
