Path of Exile 3.27 Arrives October 31

2025.10.18

Grinding Gear Games has confirmed that Path of Exile's next update, patch 3.27, will launch on October 31. Players will get a full look at the new PoE 2 League and its features during a livestream on October 23. Until then, the studio will keep most details quiet, including the league's official name.

The current league, Mercenaries of Trarthus, will end on October 27, giving players just a little time left to finish their challenges and claim rewards. GGG also mentioned that more news about “our Trarthan friends and enemies” will be shared closer to the league's finale, which likely means some kind of follow-up event or lore tie-in.

What's Next for Path of Exile

Every new Path of Exile League brings its own mechanic, enemies, and systems, so players are already guessing what 3.27 might add. The reveal stream on October 23 will explain everything, including gameplay changes, balance updates, and whether any parts of the Mercenaries league will stay in the core game.

Leagues are the heart of Path of Exile's replayability, and with Path of Exile 2 in active development, GGG is now balancing both games' release schedules. That means fewer leagues per year for the first game, but more time for polish and meaningful updates.

The community's wishes

Among the Path of Exile community, a new trend has spread across Reddit: players have created “bingo boards” that list all the features, reworks, and quality-of-life changes they hope to see in update 3.27. These fan-made charts have become a fun way to share predictions and frustrations about upcoming patches. Some of the most popular squares include things like “Heist Scarabs reworked,” “Increased gambling,” “Trickster buffed (Assassin rework),” and “Mageblood nerf—25% reduced effect of flasks.” Others focus on broader improvements such as “New rare mob modifiers,” “Crafting league with Bestiary rework,” or even “Expedition no longer rolls immunity modifiers.”

Among all the player requests, the loudest one is the recently introduced Async Trade system in Path of Exile 2. This feature allows players to trade their PoE currency and items even if the other person is offline. The idea is simple: you enter the seller's hideout, take the PoE Item you want, and the corresponding amount of currency is automatically deducted from your balance, with a small gold fee applied.

Path of Exile 2 Gets Something Softer

While the first game gears up for its next update, Path of Exile 2 fans are getting something a bit different: a limited-edition baby Crowbell plushie. GGG has partnered with YouTooz to release the collectible, which is up for pre-order until October 28. Shipping is expected to begin in March 2026.

The plushie is based on one of Path of Exile 2's odd and slightly creepy creatures—and while you can't hug a patch note, you can definitely hug this thing. It's one of the few official bits of merch tied to the upcoming sequel, and it's already gaining attention among collectors and longtime players.

Final Word

Whatever the next update brings, one thing's for sure: the studio won't disappoint and continues to listen to player feedback. What the patch will include is still a matter of speculation, but the upcoming livestream will reveal which of the community's requests have been heard. Based on past experience, the developers have always delivered on the most reasonable player wishes.
