With Team of the Season drawing to a close in FIFA, attention has immediately shifted over to EAFC24. However, at this early stage of FIFA’s life cycle, not much is known about the new game. Regardless, some information has been released regarding FIFA.
A new game mode called "VOLTA" will be added to the new game. VOLTA aims to bring back a classic game mode, FIFA Street, to FIFA. FIFA Street was formerly a standalone game, and amidst the cries from the community, has never been an add on for any FIFA game, until now.
The new game mode will be an addition in FIFA. VOLTA will feature in FIFA 20 as a stand alone mode within the game, similarly to kick off or ultimate team. In a nutshell, VOLTA is the new 5-a-side mode of FIFA. Users can play a range of modes, including 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 and other variations of these numbers. For example, instead of seeing a full starting 11 for a team such as Liverpool, you will see a squad consisting of 3 players, such as Salah, Firmino and Mane.
FIFA VOLTA has been added as an addition onto FIFA, meaning that, it won’t be replacing any game modes. The mode will replace The Journey which had its final season within FIFA. And like The Journey, the game mode will feature NO microtransactions. So there will be no chance for anyone making a head start with their new VOLTA squads.
FIFA VOLTA Broken Down
With the new game mode, there will be a number of different ways users can experience FIFA VOLTA.
FIFA VOLTA Kick Off - This is the most basic way to experience VOLTA. This mode is much similar to the Kick Off Mode that’s preexisting within FIFA. You will be able to play a number of game mode of FIFA VOLTA Kick Off, such as, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, 3v3 no goalkeepers, 4v4 no goalkeepers and 5v5 no goalkeepers.
FIFA VOLTA World - FIFA VOLTA World is an offline game mode which allows the player to compete against the computer against community chosen teams. Users will be allowed to build teams online or within the game mode which users can then play against in this offline game mode. You can create your own player within VOLTA and drop into a squad within FIFA VOLTA World. Once you’ve done this, you can build the best team possible within the mode.
FIFA VOLTA Story - With FIFA VOLTA Story, you can play within tournaments from around the world. As you complete the tournament, you will progress to unlock more items for your FIFA VOLTA team which creates the story element of this game mode.
FIFA VOLTA League - FIFA VOLTA League is very much FIFA VOLTA’s answer to the already popular FIFA game mode, Ultimate Team. FIFA VOLTA League allows you to play against different FIFA VOLTA teams from around the globe. As you progress through the divisions, you’ll unlock new features and new players. In addition, each time you win a game, you’ll be able to take some players from your opponent for your FIFA VOLTA team.
In addition to all of the exciting game modes featured, there will also be new features coming to FIFA VOLTA. For example, for the first time ever, users will be able to create squads that feature men AND women, the first time this has happened within FIFA history.
