What is St. Patrick's Day in FIFA?
St. Patrick's Day or the Feast of Saint Patrick is a cultural and religious celebration held each year on the 17th of March, as a result, we typically see new content in FIFA to celebrate.
Each year there is a release of a special St. Patrick's Day Team consisting of Republic of Ireland players. Typically, the ratings are the same as their base gold card, however, this year this could change slightly. With the recent criticism of FIFA 22 by both the media and the community, we could see something completely different this year to help install some life back into FIFA.
Last year, in FIFA 23, we saw the introduction of daily and weekly objectives. These are challenges that can be completed in FIFA which can result in different rewards. For St. Patrick's Day last year we saw new cards released into the weekly objectives. Different Republic of Ireland players was released with the same rating as their base gold card. These players were then required for different FIFA 23 FUT Birthday Squad Building Challenges. We could see something similar in the next FIFAs.
How Do The FIFA St. Patrick's Day Cards Work?
The St. Patrick's Day cards in previous installments of FIFA have always been the same rating as their base gold card. There is no stat increase whatsoever. As mentioned, however, this could be different in EAFC24.
Last year these were required for FIFA 23 Squad Building Challenges.
Who Is In The FIFA St. Patrick's Day Team?
As of the date of this blog, there is no official statement on the St. Patrick's Day team. However, the release date of this team should be on the with the announcement sometime midday.
Players are typically picked at random and the squad size can vary. Last year, we had a total of 5 different St. Patrick's Day cards but in previous editions of the game, we've had much more.
