The end of this year is special for Path of Exile players. Before the announcement of Betrayal league, GGG made it clear that they will also release their game for PS4.
Adding Path of Exile on a platform like PS4 and making it free of charge is a really good idea. The game has been around as a PC exclusive for quite some time, but recently it arrived on Xbox One. So it was only a matter of time until this was brought to the PlayStation 4. Having a free game like this offer a wonderful Diablo-like experience without charging is what most PS4 players would want to see.
And the cool thing is that PoE is set to come to PS4 at some point in December. There's no specific date set right now, but what we do know is that the PS4 version includes the expansion that arrives on December 7. So people are definitely going to be excited about this new version, as it's a blast to play and a whole lot of fun for Action RPG players.

However, Path of Exile doesn't have cross platform play the moment. Which means that you can't join friends on other platforms. At least for the time being, as it's suggested that the game might eventually bring cross platform play. As we mentioned, this is a temporary problem, so we might have it fixed sooner rather than later.
Path of Exile's PS4 outing comes at the right time. People have been craving for a new Diablo game, but they just received the announcement that a mobile game will be Blizzard's next outing. Obviously Path of Exile's developers capitalized on this quite a bit, as they announced the release of their PS4 version just a few days after. Which makes sense, because they have been working on this version for a very long time.

6 - 12hIt's definitely something very distinct and unique and it totally brings in front some rewarding benefits in the long term of the spectrum. What a lot of people love about Path of Exile is that it's extremely easy to play and you can enjoy playing it again and again. There's a lot of new content added all the time, expansions and loot as well. Which makes Path of Exile one of the coolest titles that you can play out there, and it's free of charge too.
That being said, the PS4 version will most likely have the same updates as the other versions when it comes to content and its own bug repair updates along the way. This really is an incredible experience to have a game of such good quality and free of charge on PS4.
The benefit that comes from Path of Exile on PS4 is that you can now finally enjoy the game on whatever platform you prefer. It's just a more convenient and fun way to play and you are always in control over what platform you want to check out.
Even if the game is not supporting cross platform play right now, it will eventually do that. And you can imagine just how much fun people will have playing this incredibly successful ARPG on PC, PS4 and Xbox.
